What Drives Us
Our Mission
The mission of Cookies & Ice Cream is to support children’s hospitals by visiting the children and their families providing love and support for catastrophically ill and injured children and their families with activities, morale, support during this very difficult time when they need it most so medical staff can provide medical help. Together we work to heal child and family so that the family can be helped.

Why Foster Both Child and Family?
Why Visitation?
Many times, friends and extended family don’t visit because they simply don’t know what to say, how they can help the family or they may be afraid of hospitals because of a bad experience. So the family does not feel the morale or support they need during this time, but cannot get it simply because of awkwardness that catastrophic illness or injury makes them uncomfortable.
Why Include The Family?
The child who is injured or ill gets a lot of attention. Because the situation is so stressful, it’s easy for parents to be exhausted; too tired to allow time for their siblings who often feel neglected because of the attention given to the child. They need love and activities of their own so they can get away from the stress, too.
Does Cookie & Ice Cream Provide Emergency Funding?
When able, eventually we will be helping with emergency funding for surgeries that are not covered by other organizations, if any. We will be taking application when we are at a position to provide this, and we will be sending the money raised to the medical provider directly to prevent stress to the family.
